Michael Gao currently is responsible for leading the various business development teams across ChainUp’s global offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Cyprus, Brazil and Tokyo. Before that, he was the CFO of the Group. With over a decade of experience in the financial services industry across different regions, Michael has led a fintech company as the CEO, turning the company into the largest cross-border payment service provider in Beijing in 2020. Prior to that, Michael was the CEO of a financial holding company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He started his career in major global banks including DBS, HSBC, and Maybank. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
