After graduating from university, Yuya Higuchi moved from a credit card company to Yahoo. At Yahoo, he was in charge of business strategy development in the media and advertising areas, and in charge of payment/bank services. At the bank, he was involved in commercial finance and digital marketing, and was in charge of the board of directors of a subsidiary (JV).

He later worked in MaaS business at DeNA and GO, and participated in the GO start-up phase. He has executed multiple project leads.

After joining NEC in 2021, he has been in charge of new businesses in digital services such as Web3, biometrics, metaverse, and secret computation.
