He began his career as an animator in 1984 with "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind". He worked at Studio Ghibli, and after "Princess Mononoke" became independent. Since then, he has supported numerous animated films in Japan, including "Lupin the Third" and "Doraemon," and was the main animator for "One Piece Film Red," which became the highest-grossing film in Japan in 2022. He has continued to work on numerous animated films, including those by French animation studios, and has attracted fans around the world, solidifying his reputation as an international animator.
