He entered the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) of Japan in 1989. After serving as Director of the New Business Policy Office, Director of the Corporate Finance and Tax Affairs Division of the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (SMEA), Director of the Distribution and Retail Industry Division, Director of the Industrial Science and Technology Policy Division, Director-General of the Business Environment Department of the SMEA, he appointed Deputy Director-General for Startup Policy in 2022 and Director-General for Startup Policy in 2023. He is in charge of coordinating the startup policy of the METI.
