Suji Yan
Mask Network
Founder
Dropping out of university at the age of 20, Suji founded the
decentralized social network platform Mask Network in 2017, which has
now become one of the fastest-growing projects in the crypto space. In
2022, Suji went on to establish the venture capital brand Bonfire Union in
pursuit of his desire to assist fellow entrepreneurs who are underrated by
traditional VCs because of stereotypes, biases, and preconceptions, and
the company has since backed a number of aspiring new firms in a
varieties of tracks ranging from underlying infrastructure and decentralized
applications.

Besides his career as a tech entrepreneur, Suji is also a firm advocate for
open internet. In an effort to realize his vision of creating a digital civil
Square where everyone can voice their opinions freely, Suji has made
sizable donations to universities and NGOs such as U of Illinois Urbana
Champaign and RadicalxChange to support related researches and events.
He has also been featured in Wired, the Wall Street Journal, and other
mainstream media for starting the anti-996 movement alongside his wife,
Katt Gu, also a veteran in the blockchain space. In Suji’s belief, an Internet
of the people, by the people, for the people ought to be the proper shape of
the future internet and will become a fundamental right for everyone on the
earth.
