Takeshi Chino

Following his graduation from Keio University, Takeshi Chino joined the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2006. In the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, he contributed to the improvement of default management processes. At the Japan Securities Clearing Corporation, he led the clearing project for OTC derivatives (Credit Default Swaps and Interest Rate Swaps) and handled managerial planning in the settlement area of the Japan Exchange Group.

From 2016, he supported strategic discussions for the leadership team at PwC Japan's CEO Office. In July 2018, he joined Payward, the U.S. company that operates the globally recognized cryptocurrency exchange, Kraken. Chino was appointed as the company's Japan representative in March 2020. In July 2022, he assumed the role of Japan representative for Binance.

Chino holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Oxford.
